The 10-week Adult Education Coffee Course is run by Pro Baristas, takes place at One Church, Gloucester Place on Monday mornings, and provides you with the perfect foundation of barista skills to start your new career in coffee!
- You’ll learn the skills needed to craft the perfect espresso, pour latte art, taste the difference between Ethiopian and Brazilian beans, learn new brewing techniques, and much more!
- Develop your coffee-making skills and discover the world of professional barista work

Before you can enrol on this course, you must interview with the Pro Barista team at one of their Bloom Drop-In sessions. The drop-in sessions take place every Tuesday from 1pm — 4pm, at:
One Church, Gloucester Place, Brighton, BN1 4AA
When you arrive, be sure you tell a staff member that you’re here to interview for the Adult Education 10-week course.

You will be able to enrol on a course for free if you meet the following criteria:
- Fulfill the residency eligibility requirements set out by the Department for Education (DfE)
- Be resident in Brighton and Hove – See https://www.gov.uk/find-local-council
- Be 19 years old or over at the start of the academic year
- Be unemployed and receive a means-tested state benefit or be employed and earn less than £25,750 gross annual salary
- Learners should remain in England throughout their learning. Providers will not have the discretion to continue funding where a learner is outside the country even in temporary/emergency circumstances. As referenced here.
